Hold A Flower In The Palm of Your Hand
"Hold A Flower in the Palm of Your Hand" is a photographic project
exploring the natural interconnectedness in the mundane and life, which entwines even the tiniest elements with the cosmos.
This work is inspired by fractal geometry, symbolizing the structural resemblance between the microcosm and the macrocosm. It explores the interconnectedness in the mundane. where each part is a copy of the whole, and the whole can be found within a part. Every grain of sand, plant, body, tree, or mountain is a manifestation of the cosmos, and vice versa, one is all, all is one, harmoniously interconnected.
Through photography, this work visualizes the connections across
diptychs, triptychs and individual images. These fractal-like images
symbolize the micro within the macro and macro within the micro,
collectively forming a network of interconnectedness, depicting the innate
cohesion found in nature. This network conveys my journey of discovery
throughout the image-making process.
The work serves as solace and a reminder, inviting people to closely observe the
nuance and uncover the
interconnectedness rather than individuality, thereby making the world
more intriguing. This work aims to appreciate the inherent harmony and beauty
within the natural world.
