Seconds From Somewhere Else
"Seconds From Somewhere Else" is an explorational practice that seeks to discover personal moments of somewhere allowing me to escape from time through photography.
The act of photography reveals that my intuition - my guide at the moment - was always influenced by underlying memories, impressions and past experiences. Now and then are inseparable. The moments I saw and the images I took evoked a network of memories - a never-ending search for lost time. They remind me of the unnoticed beauty of life that once passed me by and testify to my presence.
I realised the past is hidden within the current moment - captured inside a photograph, leaving an everlasting path to be conjured up. The moment is transient, yet the moment past is perpetual, eternal. The value of a moment is unveiled until it becomes a memory, preserved by photography. Every time I look at my images, the timeless past unfolds, shaping every experience I have.
